Privacy
There are no accounts on ADA Ratings, and reviews carry no names. Here is everything the site keeps.
What we store
- Your review: the text, the rating and the date. Nothing that identifies you is saved with it.
- Reports: which review was reported, the reason, the date, and a one-way code derived from your network. The code cannot be turned back into your address; it only lets us tell whether reports came from several different networks.
Cookie
The site sets one cookie, ada_client: a random code that lets us limit how many reviews one browser can post, so a single person cannot flood a professor’s page. It is not linked to your reviews and expires after a year. Clearing your cookies removes it.
Your network address
Your IP address is used only to apply the same limits and is never stored with reviews or reports. Our hosting provider may keep standard request logs for a short time.
Your browser
To keep search fast, the professor list is kept in your browser for a few minutes. Reviews you have reported are remembered in your browser so the Report button does not show again.
Other services
Fonts load from Google Fonts, and professor and dean photos load from ada.edu.az, so those services see a request from your browser.
